Haven't got a clue?
Maybe there’s a telephone number you can call to plan your journey? Or a website perhaps? Where can you pick up a timetable for your journey? How do you get to the Hospital without taking your car?
Plenty of questions but what are the answers? Here are some easy ways to get the information you need - helping you to make accurate plans for travelling on public transport in Fife.

Fife Dial-a-Ride
If you find it difficult to use ordinary buses, you may be eligible to use this service. Dial-a-Ride is a free minibus service that operates Monday to Friday. You will be picked up from your home address and taken to a major shopping centre within your local area.

Fife Ring & Ride
If you find it difficult to use ordinary buses you may be eligible to use Ring & Ride. Ring & Ride is a free minibus service that operates daily offering you a door to door bus service. The bus will call at your door and will take you anywhere within the local operating area.

Fife Shopmobility
Shopmobility is a scheme to lend, free of charge, manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters. It is open to anyone who feels that getting around the Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes shopping centres is difficult. For more information phone:

FirstDay, FirstWeek, First4Week, FirstYear - day, weekly, monthly and annual tickets available for unlimited travel on First services. Based on zones covering Central and South-east Scotland. Student versions also available.

ScotRail
Anytime - the standard fare with no restrictions.
Off-peak, Super Off-peak & Off-peak Day Returns - cheaper than Anytime fares if you travel outwith peak hours.
Advance - singles booked in advance allowing discounts on Anytime and Off-peak fares.
Kids Go Free - up to 2 children aged 5-15 can travel free, off-peak, every day if accompanied by a fare paying adult.
Season Tickets - available on all routes for 1 week or 1-12 months allowing unlimited travel on your chosen route.
Central Scotland Rover - unlimited travel for 3 out of 7 consecutive days accross Central Scotland.
10-Journey Flexipass - allows 10 single journeys on your chosen route over a 1 month period.

One ticket
One-Ticket - covering East Central Scotland - allows travel with various bus companies and on some trains.

Plusbus
Plusbus allows you to travel by train and then complete your journey by bus - all on the same through ticket. Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline & Cowdenbeath are the current Fife PlusBus Stations. Visit www.plusbus.info for more information.

St Andrews Railbus
St Andrews Railbus is a through ticket scheme that allows you to travel by train to Leuchars Station then on by bus to St Andrews using ANY bus. When you buy your rail ticket, just ask for a ‘St Andrews Railbus Ticket’. Each ticket allows one single or return bus journey. Visit www.firstscotrail.com  for more information.

Railcards
Railcards for Senior Citizens, Families, Disabled and Young Persons are available to buy, which generally allow savings of one third on standard rail fares for 1 year. Visit www.railcard.co.uk  for more details.

National Entitlement Card
National Entitlement Card allows free bus travel throughout Scotland for the over 60’s and disabled people. More information at
